Race 2 – Road Race at Midweek – 08 November

Our next race is this weekend and will be the first time we offer a two race format. Quite simply, if you prefer your racing hard and fast, you want to go into Race A. If you prefer things a little more easy going and shorter, you’ll probably want to go in Race-B which starts just two minutes later.

You can choose to join in with either race. However, we have decided that points for the overall season championship will be given out like this. So if points matter to you, choose your race carefully.

Race Registration:
Race will start at 07:00 AM, and if you didn’t registered yet in the previous race,  please come early at 06:00 AM to the race location and do it at the registration desk . Payments for day participation or season membership can be made in cash only, on race day, at the registration desk. If you don’t have a transponder timing chip, we can give you one for a 150 SAR deposit.

Race Fees:
Day Race: 50 SAR.
Season Membership including the club Jersey : 300 SAR.

Race Course:
Out in the countryside and away from almost all traffic, the “Midweek Circuit” is characterized by rolling hills (the maximum gradient is about 8%), which can create lots of fatigue in the longer races that we do here. If there is any wind at all, you will feel it somewhere at Midweek, so knowing when to shelter in the peloton and when to break free and ride solo is very important. The start/finish area is carved out of rock and makes a great atmosphere.

Race Location:
If you’ve never been before, Midweek is here, not far from the Al Ammariah Hills.

Podium Ceremony:
We will do a Podium ceremony for the juniors category of riders after the race.

Hope to see you on Friday, fresh and ready to experience our two race format!
