Race 13 – ITEA Road Race at Bonita – 23th February @ 08:00AM

This is usually regarded as our toughest race of the year, because of the distance yes, but also because of the strength of the competition with prizes to be had! Thanks to our race sponsor ITEA, there are extra incentives to do your best at this race.

Following the popularity of last year’s very tactical race, we decided to race again at Bonita. The flat course allows for good bunch riding and requires a surge of power and courage to breakaway from the lead group. Many try, few succeed!

The A-race will be for 12 laps (each one is 8.2kms long) making 98 kms in total. The B-race is 6 laps (almost 50kms).

Race Day Member Registration:

Registration and payments for doing a single race can be made in cash, on race day, at the registration desk. If you don’t have a transponder timing chip, we will give you one for a 150 SAR deposit.

Race timing chips:

We assume that if you don’t ask for a refund, you are happy to own the race chip you currently have. We will not give any refunds of deposits after the end of this season (and so far, no one has asked, which we like!).

Race Course:

“Bonita Circuit” is flat and easy to ride. Vehicles are few and far between and there is lots of space for them to be several lanes away from bikes. The weather forecast suggests low wind and pleasant temperatures for racing, between 18-25C). Our sponsor Carrefour and Camel Step will provide good refreshments for after but it makes sense to have two full bottles of water/sports drink with you through the race.

Race Location:

If you’ve never been before, Bonita is here, to the north of Riyadh. Parking is easy and you’ll have no issue finding us there if it’s your first visit.

ITEA Podium Prizes:
Men:     1st 500SR – 2nd 300SR – 3rd 200SR
Female: 1st 500SR – 2nd 300SR – 3rd 200SR
Juniors: 1st 400SR

Why not invite some friends or family members to cheer you on, take pictures and make a fun atmosphere? 😀
