Although the side winds in this race were strong, reaching 29 km/h, All 37 competitors completed the race. In general, the weather was suitable for a challenge, but the results were lower than before, due to strong winds.
Faisal Alshaya, came back and was determined to measure himself against Time trial specialist Rayan AlKhuwaiter. The presence of the big hill would maybe tip things into Faisal’s favor…? Well, I’ll save the drama. Faisal was sorry to be beaten by 2 Seconds. Great work Rayan.
Interestingly, very few people opted to use TT bikes for the race, even though they had them available. TT bikes tend to weigh more than the typical road bike and so don’t offer quite as much advantage when the tarmac gets steeper.
Ahead of Shalabi, Rakanin 8th place, were Alhomsi, Talha (23:25 – 7th) and Alzaidi, Ibrahim (23:19 – 6th). The fight for the 3rd step on the podium was won by Jameel Alghamdi (21:09), challenged by Majdani, Abdessamad the new TT Hero with his customized Road Bike (22:23) and Ondrej, Michal (23:18).

Veterans AG Podium:
As announced before, the podium for this race was reserved to the Veterans Category and the top has been taken by Faisal Alshaya, followed by Anas AlBabtain, and the 3rd place was for Ashraf Arafah.
